João Neiva, Espírito Santo, had its origin in the construction of the Estrada de Ferro Vitória a Minas, at the beginning of the XX. Grew up around the railway station, which opened in 1908 and named in honor of the deputy from bahia to João Neiva. 

With the arrival of Italian immigrants, has spurred the development of agriculture and of trade in the region. In 1988, the district was in it to Ibiraçu. Since then, the city stands out for its investments in education, culture, industry, and infrastructure. 

Known for its traditional festivals, colonial products, and natural beauty, Joao Neiva, keeps alive the traditions of the immigrants, and it is moving forward with a focus on sustainable development, without losing their cultural roots.
