The Root of this Lizard is an exposed root of a tree, which it acquired in the form of a lizard. It's a natural curiosity to João Neiva, which is ideal for photos, and the god of all. The location is easy to access and is surrounded by native vegetation, it has also become a point for hiking and recreation in the open air.

At 47 feet tall, and 12.5 feet in circumference, Jequitibá Rosa, is a symbol of the preservation of the environment. Located in a Sauna, it is estimated to be 800 years old. The track is demanding, which is surrounded by lush bushland. It was saved the fall in the 1980's by a local action. This is a tourist's essential for those who love the nature and the rainforest.

The top of the Monte Negro this is one of the highest points in João Neiva, with the 665 m altitude. It features a trail of 4.3 km, moderately difficult, and a panoramic view of the surrounding towns. At the top, there is a chapel dedicated to Nossa Senhora da Penha, Santa Barbara. The vegetation is creeping in with the ferns, and the access is by a dirt road from the Villa Nova. Ideal for nature watching, and hiking.
