Pomeranian Christmas

The Pomeranian Christmas brings nights filled with magic and celebration, in an enchanting atmosphere that unites tradition and joy. It’s a special moment for the whole family, where everyone can enjoy moving cultural performances and be embraced by the Christmas spirit.

Strawberry Fair

The Strawberry Exhibition is always a special attraction, enchanting visitors with the beauty and quality of the strawberries produced in the region. The event featured a special program, with university country music shows, viola music, and a lot of forró, ensuring fun and entertainment for everyone. Once again, the Strawberry Fair fulfilled its purpose: to honor local producers and value the rural richness of São João do Garrafão.

Chayote Fair

Special Day of Chayote Culture, an event dedicated to strengthening production and promoting the exchange of knowledge about this culture so important for our municipality. More than valuing chayote, the celebration recognizes and honors those who produce it with such dedication. A moment of fellowship, fun, and unity, for us to celebrate together the flavor and strength of our countryside.

Folk Dance Festival

The State Folkloric Dance Festival is a true spectacle of colors, rhythms, and traditions! A crowd favorite, the festival celebrates cultural diversity with performances that captivate and move audiences. Featuring both national and international groups, the event showcases the richness of different peoples’ traditions, turning each dance into an unforgettable experience.

Paixão de Cristo

The reenactment is a grand historical spectacle depicting the journey of Jesus Christ, from his birth to his death and resurrection. The event is the result of an initiative by the Recreio community, in partnership with the Catholic and Lutheran Churches and the AGROUNI Association, with financial support from the Santa Maria de Jetibá City Hall.

Held approximately on April 18.

Pomeranian Easter

Decoration and Presentations with the Rescue of the Pomeranian Easter Tradition.
Pomeranian Easter highlights simple and artisanal elements that symbolize life and renewal. Among them are the Colored Eggs (Oosterëg), the Easter Tree (Oosterboom), the Nests (Oosternest), and the Giant Sculptures, which reinforce cultural identity.
The program also features culinary presentations, valuing typical gastronomy, such as traditional pies and cookies, keeping alive the tradition passed down from generation to generation.

Carnival – Jetibá Revelry

The Folia Jetibá Carnival is a lively celebration featuring attractions for all ages. During the event, attendees can enjoy *pagodinho* performances, have fun with the traditional carnival blocks, participate in activities for children, savor treats at the food court, and be delighted by the costume contest, which rewards the creativity of the revelers.

Held approximately on March 2 and 3.

Festa do Colono

The Colono Festival is filled with excitement and music, featuring a variety of rhythms for all
ages. Cultural and dance performances, “tobata” competitions, as well as the Colono Walk and Ride,
the Agricultural Exhibition, and much more.

Held approximately from June 24 to 27.

Pomerana Festival

The event aims to preserve and celebrate Pomeranian traditions, as well as to commemorate the Political Emancipation of the Municipality. More than just a festival, it is a moment of social and cultural well-being that strengthens the identity of the local community. The history of Pomeranian immigration is movingly portrayed through historical parades that depict the journey, customs, and cultural heritage left by the immigrants.
